A Brief About Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Provinces in Canada are unable to issue Canada PR status on their own, however, they can improve the CRS score of the candidates by providing provincial nominations. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is in charge of the province’s immigration programs. Candidates who wish to immigrate to Manitoba must first submit an Expression of Interest to the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP). They can apply for an LAA through three different streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Streams.
Three Streams of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba
The offshore candidates who are already residing in the province and working full-time for a provincial employer are targeted by this stream. The stream includes international graduates and temporary foreign workers. Manitoba Work Experience and Employer Direct Recruitment are the two pathway programs available in this track.
- Skilled Worker Overseas
The stream mostly aims for candidates from outside the country. A point-based method is used to assess the candidates. To be considered for the stream, applicants must meet certain qualifications, which are based on five factors: age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and flexibility. The Human Capital Pathway and Manitoba Express Entry are the two main options to apply for the stream.
- International Education Stream
The program allows international students to apply for Canada PR and dwell in the province. To apply for the stream, students must meet specific qualifying requirements. Only graduates from the province of Manitoba are able to apply for this stream. Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and International Student Entrepreneur Pilot are the three routes to apply under the International Education Stream.
Endnote
Manitoba just informed about the creation of an expert group that will suggest improvements to the province’s present immigration laws and policies. The areas where the council will concentrate its actions include increasing the number of immigrants and business investors to the province, optimizing the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, and enhancing settlement services.
