PTE Speaking is an essential component of the PTE test, and many candidates struggle to score high points in this module. Task-3: Describe Image

An image will be displayed on your screen, and you have to describe the objects and the picture as a whole. You will have 25 seconds to understand the concept, and you must start immediately after hearing the beep sound.

Task-4: Re-tell the Lecture

You will hear a speech; you need to memorize the lecture and express it in your own words. The lecture may be presented with an image for better understanding. After the recording is played, you will have 10 seconds to prepare your answer. You have to start immediately after you hear the short beep.

Task-5: Answer Short Question

1. Record Your Speech in English and Review the Recording for Pronunciation: The most effective way to improve your speaking score is by recording your speech and listening to it for errors and mistakes. This practice will boost your confidence and improve your oral fluency.

2. Avoid the Use of Unnecessary Fillers: Fillers like “umm”, “our”, and “ahhh” reflect your inefficiency in delivering the speech. Make sure you avoid using these fillers in your speaking test. You should not add additional words that are not mentioned in the text.

3. Do not try to imitate the accent: Native speakers like Canadians, Britishers, and Australians have different accents. If you try to copy the same pronunciation, your speech may not sound natural, and you may not be able to pronounce challenging words in the same accents.
